2 sources · route guidance · Early Access facts are version-labeled.Choose the job before the set
Use armor and equipment to remove a route problem: survivability, carry capacity, movement, heat, underwater time, or a boss-specific opening. A set is not automatically best because it has a higher tier label.
The current Into the Abyss update adds underwater progression, so equipment pages must state whether a recommendation is for surface travel, diving, or a mixed route.
Record the fields that matter
For each item, verify the source, recipe, station, prerequisites, effects, repair materials, and the first route where it becomes useful. Do not publish a precise stat or drop table until it has been checked in the current build.
Use an alternative
A good guide names a practical fallback. If the ideal item requires a region you have not unlocked, show the cheaper or earlier option that keeps the route playable.
Use this guide in a run
- 01Identify the job
Decide whether the item is for damage, harvesting, access, movement, or repairs.
- 02Compare the cost
Check recipe, durability, repair materials, and the station needed to maintain it.
- 03Test the danger room
Use the area where you usually lose as the deciding test, not a perfect showcase.
- 04Keep a fallback
A realistic replacement is more useful than a top-tier item you cannot craft yet.
Before you commit to this route
- Test range, stamina, recovery, and repair cost
- Record what resource or recipe the tool unlocks
- Keep one realistic replacement for a rare recipe
- Link a current gameplay proof before calling an item best
